General Operative

We are currently looking for an Operative to join our friendly team based in Stowfield Quarry, Coleford, Gloucestershire.

Main Responsibilities

Reporting directly to Asphalt Plant Supervisor, you will be responsible for mixing asphalt to specification, working with other members of the team to ensure that customers get good quality material and on-time deliveries. The asphalt operative will work with an internal team to plan the mixing program, they will ensure that stocks are maintained and replenished in good time. The operators will carry out inspections on the plant and carry out housekeeping tasks and also basic daily maintenance.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate proven experience working within an Industrial, Factory or similar environment as an operative or labourer. As well as possess good communication skills and have a real desire in developing both operative and supervisory skills.

This is a varied, complex and rewarding position that requires good knowledge of asphalt and asphalt production, full training will be given.

Qualifications

Articulated Dump Truck License – desirable
