Higher Apprentice Logistics

Job Introduction

We're looking for a Higher Apprentice within the Supply Chain & Logistics division of Tarmac. You will play a key role in the successful distribution of our cement products destined for the UK construction industry.​

Whether attending college or working on site, a typical day on our Logistics Apprenticeship programme will provide you with hands-on experience, first-class learning and development, and outstanding support.  ​

Tailor-made for aspiring individuals who are determined to make their mark, you will become a vital part of the team, developing a business and logistics focused skill set.

Main Responsibilities

Activities may include:

• Support to the Logistics team, building relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and helping to  develop our planning and logistics focus.​

• Developmental project work and involvement in analytical work .​

• Attendance at college to gain a business and logistics focussed academic skillset.​

The Ideal Candidate

Qualifications:

• Five GCSEs (or equivalent) A-C or numbered equivalent (9-4) including English and Maths, or level 3 qualification, including A levels, NVQ, BTEC, or Level 3 apprenticeship.

Skills:

• Passionate about working safely.​

• A team player.​

• Willing to learn and develop.

• Enthusiastic about starting a career in the building materials industry!
