Job Introduction
This is an amazing opportunity to work in our innovative Finance team. At Tarmac our Finance function plays a key role in running our business. A typical day working as a Trainee Tax Accountant may include:
Main Responsibilities
Activities will include:

Supporting the business as a tax technician to deliver the core elements in business taxation and accounting principles.

Working within a team environment to prepare tax calculations, preparing government forms and completion of filing deadlines.

To provide support with the reporting of financial information.

Working within the legal compliance framework to ensure ethical standards and integrity are delivered.

Using Company systems and processes to ensure governance, control and accurate reporting.

To support the development of new business improvement processes.

Supporting company auditing processes, checking for compliance and identifying areas for improvement.
Whilst you’re learning on the job, you’ll attend our core Skills Development Programme designed to expand your business knowledge, strengthen core skills and offer networking opportunities with other graduates, higher apprentices and key stakeholders across the Tarmac business in order to successfully transition into your destination role.
We’ll also fund your level 4 qualification in Professional Accounting/ Taxation, ensuring you receive professional recognition for the work you’ll be putting in! The Ideal Candidate

Qualifications required:
Five GCSEs (or equivalent) A-C or numbered equivalent (9-4) including English and Maths, or level 3 qualification, including A levels, NVQ, BTEC, or Level 3 apprenticeship.
