Job Introduction

Every day will be a new experience as a Trainee LGV Driver! You will be enjoying time on your own whilst being on the road, and will be a Tarmac ambassador operating safely and being the face of the business when visiting customers. ​

You'll ideally be passionate about being on time and delivering a good customer experience as you work closely with our Operations team to ensure the customer gets their product on time. ​

At Tarmac, we will make sure your safety is our priority by providing full protective clothing.

Main Responsibilities

Activities will include:

  • Loading and delivering products ​

  • Looking after your vehicle and doing all the daily checks ​

  • Keeping in line with all the legal requirements when driving which include speed limits, driving hours and breaks​

  • Health and safety checks​

  • Taking pride in all work completed and being determined to succeed​!​​

While learning in your day-to-day role, you will complete our Professional Large Goods Vehicle Development Programme, giving you a good grounding to start an exciting career in our industry. The Ideal Candidate

Qualifications required:

GCSEs (or equivalent) at pass grade, with willingness to work towards level 4+ if  required. Support provided by our business.

  • Willing to learn and develop.
