We are currently looking for fully qualified Mobile Mechanical Fitter to join our fantastic team based at Bestwood Quarry, Nottingham. 

The successful candidate will cover sites including Bestwood Quarry, Calverton Quarry, Nottingham Asphalt plant and on occassion Colwick Ready Mix plant.

Main Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Production Manager you will specifically focus on multi product maintenance on site. As well, you will carry out preventative maintenance tasks and respond in a timely manner to breakdown repairs with a keen eye for continuous improvement and ensuring adherence to safety, environment and health compliance at all times. Completion of safety paperwork will also be required.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team responsible for the inspection, repairs and maintenance of Tarmac assets within the midlands. You will be given specified sites to upkeep but also required to support the wider team when requested.

 

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a mechanically minded, well organised individual who works well with plant and machinery. They will have a good understanding of how fixed plants operate for the production of aggregates, concrete and asphalt. High safety, health and environmental standards are expected at all times.

Experience of maintaining and problem solving on heavy construction-based equipment and machinery is ideal along with a flexible approach and willingness to learn new skills is key for success in this role.
