 About the Role

As a Security Operations Analyst, you will play a key part in managing security operations, handling incidents, and continuously improving our security posture. You'll be the go-to expert for security risk assessment, monitoring, compliance, and performance reporting – ensuring our IT systems and business operations remain secure, compliant, and efficient.

 You’ll work closely with IT and CRH Group Security functions, influencing risk management strategy, maintaining key SOx controls, and contributing to external accreditations such as ISO27001. This is a hands-on role requiring both strategic thinking and a proactive approach to incident management.

What you'll be doing

In this role you'll: 

• Lead and manage day-to-day security operations and incident response
• Provide expert security guidance throughout IT project lifecycles
• Promote a culture of security awareness across the business
• Carry out regular risk assessments and security drills
• Create and maintain security policies, procedures and frameworks
• Own and report on security performance and metrics to senior stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with audits, regulations, and internal cntrols
• Monitor security policy adherence across staff and third parties
• Contribute to tool evaluation, assessments, and control frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO27001)

What we're looking for

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about IT security and up to date with industry trends 
• An effective communicator, capable of translating technical detail to non-technical audiences
• Creative, analytical, and thrives on problem-solving
• A team player who can lead by example and support others

Experience & Qualifications 

• Degree-level education or equivalent experience in a similar role
• Relevant security certifications (CISSP, CRISC, CISM, CISA etc.)
• Knowledge of NIST frameworks and ISO27001 standards
• ITIL certified/trained and GDPR aware

You’ll also have experience in:

• Security operations and incident response
• System audits, compliance, and risk assessment
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
