Job Introduction


Are you ready to play a vital role in maintaining and optimising the electrical and process control systems that keep our plant running smoothly? We’re looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Electrical Craftsperson to join our Maintenance team and contribute to the reliability and efficiency of our Cement Plant operation based in Dunbar, East Lothian.

 


Main Responsibilities
 

Within the role of Electrical Craftsperson you will act as a key member of the Maintenance team, focusing on electrical and process control equipment across the plant.

 

The day to day responsibilities of the role include:

  • Prioritising safety at all times, demonstrating a strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Applying existing knowledge or quickly develop expertise in a wide range of equipment, including instrumentation, PLCs, DCS/SCADA systems, LV & HV motors, switchgear, control gear, AC & DC systems, variable speed drives, and specialised control panels
  • Performing mechanical maintenance tasks such as bearing replacement and device alignment
  • Be flexible with working hours, including potential weekend or split day shifts

 


The Ideal Candidate
 

  • Experience as a trained electrical craftsperson/process control
  • 18th edition certified
  • Multi-skilled engineering maintenance experience
  • PLC experience
  • Strong team worker with the ability to work independently
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work flexibly
