Job Introduction
About the role
We're currently looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Data & Insight Analyst to join our newly created Data & Analytics team (hybrid working).
The Data & Insight Analyst – Business Planning is responsible for the support, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the organisation’s business planning platform (Anaplan) and its associated Power BI reporting.
The role ensures that planning models, data flows, and insight outputs are accurate, well‑governed, and fit for purpose, enabling finance and business teams to plan effectively and make informed decisions. This is a hands-on analytical role, acting as a trusted platform specialist for Anaplan and Power BI, working closely with finance, operational teams, and data owners
Main responsibilities
In this role you'll:
- Act as the day-to-day administrator and support lead for the Anaplan planning environment.
- Maintain and govern model structures, calculations, hierarchies, and master data within Anaplan.
- Manage changes to Anaplan models, ensuring appropriate testing, documentation, and stakeholder sign-off.
- Control and monitor data integrations into and out of Anaplan, working with finance and data teams to ensure data accuracy at source.
- Diagnose and resolve model, data, or performance issues, escalating where appropriate.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI reports and dashboards aligned to outputs from Anaplan.
- Ensure reporting is consistent, accurate, and clearly communicates key drivers and insights.
- Work with stakeholders to refine visualisations so that reports are intuitive, relevant, and decision-focused.
- Validate data between source systems, Anaplan, and Power BI to maintain trust in reported numbers.
Experience & qualifications
To be successful in this role you'll need:
- Experience working with business planning systems, ideally Anaplan.
- A demonstrable Power BI capability, including data modelling and dashboard design.
- Advanced Excel skills within Microsoft 365.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desirable
- An understanding of financial planning, forecasting, and performance management processes.
- Familiarity with S&OP, master data management, or similar planning concepts.
