We are currently looking for a Sidings Operative to join our friendly team based in Tunstead Site, Buxton, Derbyshire.

Main Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Sidings Supervisor, you will control all rail movements and activities within the rail sidings on a shift basis.  As well as provide loading and shunting resource in busy rail sidings, striving to meet and fulfil daily KPIs for the Sidings area.  Duties include, but not limited to train loading, shunting, cleaning, track/plant and other associated maintenance and improvement activities.

The Ideal Candidate

This is a varied, complex and rewarding position that requires an NVQ/QCF level 2 in rail operations or industry equivalent.
Previous experience within the Rail Industry would be preferred, however, training could be provided for the right candidate.
