Job Introduction

We are currently looking for an experienced Operative to join our team based at Bawtry. Here at Tarmac, we are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.

Main Responsibilities

To operate the Plant & Equipment at the site to ensure budgeted targets are met or exceeded, whilst complying with company and legislative SHE and Quality Policies and procedures.  The role will also include carrying out of daily production data reporting, and preventative maintenance/ electrical tasks. 

Achieve or outperform targets for operational improvement including: safety, environment, cost, quality, efficient equipment utilisation. This list is not exhaustive and there will be times when you will be required to carry out other duties. Shift work may be required.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensuring that Health & Safety rules are adhered to and deliver safety/operational performance targets. 

  • Comply with all Tarmac Building Products Policies & Procedures. 

  • Supporting continuous improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental performance standards. 

  • Balancing the time covering operation and cleaning of the production line. 

  • Building working relationships with other production and maintenance personnel

  • Ensure products of high quality are efficiently produced 

  •  Ensure plant equipment maintained to high standard and in a timely manner

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate previous experience of working within an industrial, factory or similar environment as a Fork Lift Truck OperativeMulti-Skilled Operative or Labourer. However, the experience of working in a team, good communication skills and a willingness to learn are more important as full training can be provided.
