We are currently looking for an experienced colleague to join us as a HS2 Operative to join our friendly team based in at our Meriden plant that is easily commutable from cities such as Birmingham, Solihull and Coventry.

Main Responsibilities

Duties of the HS2 Operative will include the day-to-day operations of mobile plant. The role is to operate the machine safely and meeting production demands. Working to keep housekeeping around site to a high standard.

  • Assist the Supervisor with meeting daily production targets
  • Follow SHE policies and procedures
  • Ensure Plant conforms with safety requirements at all times
  • Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality responsibilities
  • Acting on defects and implement remedial action. Assist in the maintenance regime of the Plant
  • Ensure that plant availability is maximised

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate proven experience working within an Industrial, Factory or similar environment as an operative or labourer. As well as possess good communication skills and have a real desire in developing both operative and supervisory skills.

Specific Requirements

  • Shovel license or similar licenses – desirable
  • Flexible
  • Attention to detail
  • Passion for site improvement and supporting colleagues
