We are currently looking for an Internal Sales Administrator to join our team in Tarmac Birtley in Co Durham. This role is commutable from Gateshead, Newcastle upon Tyne, Consett, Durham, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Darlington, South Shields, Wallsend, Longbenton and the surrounding areas.

Main Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Supervisor the suitable candidate for the role of Internal Sales Administrator will be responsible for:  

  • The receipt of customer enquiries and accurate raising of quotations into the appropriate computer systems  

  • Ensure appropriate and prompt responses to customer enquiries  

  • Accurate pricing of quotations from schedules  

  • Prepare adhoc reporting and support for the external account management team  

  • Provide back up telephony support for the internal sales coordinators 


The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in the role of Internal Sales Administrator you will ideally have experience within a similar role. The ideal candidate for the role of Internal Sales Administrator will also: 

  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills 

  • Have the ability to liaise with stakeholders of varying seniority levels both internally and externally 

  • Be motivated 

  • Be flexible 

  • IT Literate  -  (Microsoft Office, Excel particularly)
