Day Fitter – Alfreton (Days Only)

Location: Alfreton, Derbyshire
Employment Type: Full-time, Day Shift

We’re looking for a proactive and skilled Day Fitter to join our team at our busy block manufacturing site in Alfreton. If you’re motivated, adaptable, and eager to work in a dynamic and inclusive environment, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Carrying out day-to-day planned preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery
• Ensuring all work meets statutory, safety, and SHE standards
• Working across a variety of plant and equipment on a day-shift basis
• Recording all completed work accurately in the site CMMS system
• Operating in a mostly self-supervised role, requiring strong communication and problem‑solving skills

What We’re Looking For

✅ Must-have: Proven welding experience (MIG/TIG/arc – any industrial experience considered)
✅ Experience maintaining or replacing mechanical components such as bearings, shafts and rollers
✅ Skilled in the use of hand tools, bearing presses and fitting tools
✅ Previous experience within manufacturing or heavy industry
✅ Strong background in mechanical maintenance and repairs

Desirable:

• IOSH training
• Pipefitting experience
