Skilled Road Surfacing Operative

We are currently looking for a Level 2 Surfacing Operative to join our team based in Wolverhampton.

Main Responsibilities

This is a varied, complex and rewarding position that requires experience in road surfacing along with the requisite mobile plant competency cards such as for heavy rollers & JCB 2 CX.

As the sucessful candidate you will report directly to the Foreman and  will work as part of an Asphalt machine lay gang on a variety of schemes such as  motorways & airfields to new build carriageways, standard Local Authority streetworks as well as private, industrial & commercial works.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate previous experience working as a Skilled Surfacing Operative within a Civil engineering, Construction or similar environment.  As well as possess good communication skills and have a real desire in developing both operative and supervisory skills. 
You will also need to be flexible to work varying shifts which could include nights and weekends.

Specific Requirements;

• Competency cards such as for heavy rollers & JCB 2 CX
